DESCRIPTION:The Municipality of Tomiño will host the first meeting of the EC4RURAL programme to promote the creation of a Rural Energy Community. The main objective of the meeting is to establish a driving group to lead the development and implementation of the Rural Energy Community of the Municipality of Tomiño. \nActive participation is expected from different sectors of society\, including citizens\, neighbourhood associations\, rural development groups and small businesses. The participation of the Town Council will be particularly prominent\, demonstrating its commitment to being integrated as an active part of the Energy Community and its willingness to provide space and cover for photovoltaic installations. The topics to be addressed range from collective self-consumption to the concept of the Renewable Energy Community and its possible legal forms and models of public-private participation.
